Event Details

IONS founder, Apollo 14 astronaut and 6th man to walk on the moon, Captain Edgar D. Mitchell, experienced what came to be known as “The Overview Effect” while viewing Earth from space. He described having an epiphany, an expanded awareness of self and a direct experience of Oneness, that he believed foreshadowed a new wave of evolution in human consciousness — one based on unity rather than separation. Frank White, author of the book The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, will be among those joining us for this final session in the series to address the question: What could more people having an “Overview Effect” experience — with or without going into space — mean for a transformed collective consciousness?
